Pros

Hosts Abbie and James provide excellent service with personal recommendations.

A substantial cooked and continental breakfast is included.

The hotel maintains clean and comfortable rooms even during refurbishment.

Cons

The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment, which may not be disclosed in advance.

Basic toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap are not provided in the rooms.

“This Sandown lodging proves a sensible base, its proximity to the train station and town centre a distinct advantage for those arriving by rail. My exploration suggests the rooms, while straightforward, are kept meticulously clean and quiet, offering a surprisingly restful stay. What truly stands out, though, is the genuine warmth from the hosts, particularly the breakfast, which seems to be a highlight for many - a genuinely good value.”
